Job Summary
The Student Support Services Liaison is responsible for collaborating with client districts and Teacher Facilitators on issues related to special education, instructional differentiation, educational law, and curriculum modifications and accommodations. The Student Support Services Liaison will work directly with teachers, districts, and families to ensure the needs of students in the Lincoln Learning online learning environment are being met.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Applicable state special education certification
- Experience with modifications and accommodations implementation within an online learning environment
- Child Abuse Clearance; Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check; and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Clearance (Act 153, Act 168, and Act 126) or ability to obtain these
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Upholds the mission, vision, and values of Lincoln Learning Solutions
- Adheres to Instructional Services procedures, processes, and best practices
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge on instructional differentiation practices and special education law in various states
- Supports Instructional Services staff to implement modifications and accommodations for students they teach
- Provides guidance to client district special education contacts to ensure modifications and accommodations are applicable in an online learning environment
- Collaborates with the Curriculum Development, Training, and Technology teams with the goal of improving student learning
- Possesses a working knowledge of the instructional technology used by Lincoln Learning
- Performs any additional duties deemed necessary by Lincoln Learning leadership
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
