For nearly 450 students in pre-K through 12th grades, each day at Grandview Preparatory School presents a personal educational journey where they can find their passions. Lincoln Learning Solutions is a proud partner along that journey.

Grandview Prep has taken customized education to the next level in partnering with the Chris Evert Tennis Academy. As the proud home to more than 15 Grand Slam participants and 100 Division I college athletes, the tennis legend’s academy has a proven record of success in developing champions at the highest levels. Academics do not take a back seat. That’s one of the reasons Grandview Head of School at the Evert Campus, Alan Stob, values his partnership with Lincoln Learning Solutions.

“We have many athletes who train at an elite level, and they really need special schedules to accommodate their training, Stob said, and because a day at Evert Campus does not necessarily look like your traditional 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. school day, our partnership with Lincoln has allowed us to be flexible and innovative with our scheduling.”

Through a blended model of traditional classroom-based instruction for core classes, supplemented with flexible online classes, Grandview students at Evert don’t have to sacrifice a quality college preparatory education to train at the elite level at a world-class tennis program.

In addition to being a boon for Evert students at Grandview, the flexibility of Lincoln’s curriculum caters to all students pursuing their passions.

“Whether they have a special schedule because of dance or equestrian or hockey, or are participating in the community or an internship, whatever it may be, anyone with a special schedule is utilizing Lincoln Learning,” Stob said.

Stob said Grandview teachers use the curriculum as a supplemental resource across the school’s multiple campuses. Teachers easily house Lincoln Empowered curriculum in a central location online and adjust activities and assessments for students who may be traveling.

“It’s a great unifier,” Stob said, “It’s a wonderful resource that’s compiled and already vetted. It’s efficient and user-friendly.”

His staff is very pleased with the number of additional elective offerings that Lincoln provides, as part of Grandview’s mission is to give students the chance to study topics they care about.

“We're really fortunate to have so many of our young people who have this drive and fire to get up in the morning and to go to school, and then have the opportunity to follow their passion and be able to dedicate a significant amount of time to the things that they love. So, there's a great appreciation for the model we've set up and we're able to do that because of our partnership with Lincoln Learning.”
